Story Summary

Lucifer
"This is going to be a lot of trob..."

At the House of Lamentation, Satan finds MC, and they become frightened, attempting to leave. Satan states that it's too late to go and that he needs them. MC tries get away with lame excuses. Satan becomes angry, then insists that they hurry up and follow him to his room.

ButlerBarb
"I dabble in tasseography, too."

Satan asks MC to sit anywhere there isn't already a book. However, they prefer to remain standing because there's no available space. Satan insists that his room isn't that messy, even as he shuffles a pile of books onto another and requests that MC be mindful of their surroundings. MC asks if he ever tidies up his bedroom. Leviathan used to keep things in order, but he gave up ages ago. Satan brings MC a cup of tea and urges them to drink it quickly. After they finish, Satan asks them to hand over the cup. He explains that he needs to observe its contents and then wonders which page that shape was. MC notices he has a book on tea leaf reading. Satan had read this book earlier in the morning and wanted to try it on MC before attempting it himself.

Angeluke
"There's water in the house?"

According to Satan, the shape of these dregs resembles a sea serpent. He explains that sea serpents herald events like drowning and assumes it's going to rain. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a massive amount of water gushes in. Satan becomes furious, wondering why he's also suffering MC's misfortune. Then, water pours from the ceiling. The water gets deeper to the point where Satan, embarrassed, admits he can't swim. MC can either save him, which annoys him because they're helping, or playfully point out that they can't swim either, both escaping by clinging to a bookshelf. The water recedes to a level where they can finally stand. Satan is saddened that his books are ruined. He becomes even angrier and swears to find the responsible and make them pay. MC manages to distract him from his anger by giving him his cup, where the dregs haven't disappeared despite the deluge.

Belphie
"It's like an inferno."

Satan is surprised at the shape, which resembles a dove, and remains silent. MC comments on the bird shape and Satan explains that a dove represents "an angel's visit." MC can either assert that they are the angel in question or comment that it's impossible in the Devildom, although Satan reminds them that there are ex-angels. They overhear Leviathan, dejected, apologizing as Lucifer leads him between flooded rooms. Leviathan summoned Lotan after a fight with Mammon. Before leaving, Lucifer makes the water vanish. Satan questions the timing of Lucifer's appearance, growing angrier at the thought that this might be a sign that he is still an angel. Satan demands retribution for the soaked books, but suddenly calms at the idea of fixing it. MC can impress Satan by drying the books with magic, or they can suggest drying them together, which Satan will refuse to do. They can also suggest calling Leviathan, who comes and offers to go and fetch a strong dehumidifier he purchased after a similar experience.
