"You're going that far?"
Satan and MC are working at the inn from the Exciting Inn-cidents! Pop Quiz. Satan is curious about one of the hot springs that's been closed since they arrived. He wants to be able to tell customers why it's closed, so they go to ask Barbatos. Barbatos explains that the sentient boiler for that hot spring is on strike, and will not make the water a comfortable temperature. MC and Satan go to talk to the boiler, but are surprised by the response it gives.

"You can use vinegar for that?"
Satan and MC learn that the boiler is upset because it looks dirty compared to the other boilers. They decide to clean the boiler so it will get back to work again. Satan is having trouble cleaning the inside, so he decides to use the Human World trick of using vinegar. The boiler doesn't like the sour taste, so MC distracts it or changes the taste with magic. As they scrub, Satan notices some soot on MC's face and wipes it off. MC can wipe Satan's face back, or say they thought he was going for a kiss. The boiler promises to work again now that it's clean.

At the hot spring, Satan finds that the water is way too hot, even for demons. They ask the boiler to lower the temperature, but it wants its bath to be the best in the whole inn. They explain to it that the guests' preferences are more important than being the hottest. The boiler doesnt know what temperature that is, so Satan and MC survey the guests to find their ideal temperature. They tell the boiler, and Satan tests the hot spring again. It's perfect, and MC hugs Satan or gives him a high five. The two return to Barbatos to finish their tasks.

A few days later, Satan tells MC that the new hot spring has become the most popular one at the inn. He says Barbatos gave him some fireworks as a present for the staff, and they go to the garden to light them. Depending on MC's choice, Satan also gifts them a teacup they wanted from the gift shop or one they painted together. Satan sets off a firework that spells out "I love MC." He becomes flustered when he realizes the fireworks spell out the feelings of whoever lights them. MC can either kiss him, compliment the fireworks, or light their own that says "I love you, Satan."
