At the Demon Lord's Castle, Diavolo and Barbatos welcome MC to the estate. Diavolo recalls of the current curse spreading around RAD that reveals someone's innermost thoughts to the person they love. To ease the burden of those affected by the curse, Diavolo suggests decorating the school surrounding the theme of Valentine's Day so that everyone could feel included. Diavolo requests both Barbatos and MC to be in charge of decorating, and the duo begin brainstorming. MC can suggest creating a photoshoot spot, a space for new couples, or simply want to make heart-shaped balloons, to which Barbatos will agree with all of MC's ideas. Barbatos then invites MC on a date to gather more inspiration for decorating RAD.

While in town, Barbatos and MC admire decorations surrounding Valentine's Day. MC can either approach a heart-shaped arch or a bundle of cat and heart balloons. If MC chooses the former, then Barbatos will humor MC and take a photo with them under the arch, with a few ghosts appearing alongside them in the picture. If MC chooses the latter, then Barbatos will attempt to warn MC about the sentient decor before the cat balloon hisses at them. Barbatos reminds MC of Diavolo's mission to unite the three worlds and adds that Valentine's Day originated from the human world. He requests if he can rely on MC's knowledge about Valentine's Day in the human world as their theme for decorating RAD. Barbatos then suggests going to a chocolatier for more inspiration.

Barbatos and MC visit Godevil Chocolatier to gather insight on Valentine's Day goods. Barbatos describes the limited-time Valentine's Day couple set containing midnight biscuits and two café mochas from the shop menu. They order the set and Barbatos notes of the special detailing within their drinks when their orders arrive. He quotes from the menu that a heart drawn with foam will appear when drinking in front of the person they love. While Barbatos admires the quality of the drinks and food items, MC can point out how Barbatos doesn't seem affected by the curse which reveals one's inner thoughts. He dispels their worries by verifying that MC is a very precious person in his eyes and that he enjoyed gathering inspiration alongside MC. He admits that his original plan was to make homemade sweets for them, and hopes MC could still enjoy their ongoing date as compensation.

After shopping around town, Barbatos suggests taking a break at the nearby park. MC can either recall the chocolate they enjoyed, their photo taken together, or their excitement towards decorating RAD. Barbatos then gifts a scarf to MC and wraps the cloth around them. His inner thoughts are then briefly revealed, and MC asks Barbatos if they've heard him correctly. Barbatos confirms their suspicions and excuses himself to express his feelings directly. Barbatos bluntly confesses his love for MC, and they can either respond with a kiss, a word of thanks, or their own confession of feelings. Depending on the option chosen, Barbatos will either let his inner adoration for MC be read and embrace his vulnerability, express his words of thanks for their assistance and company, or promise to brew tea for them when they return to the castle, respectively.
