Story Summary

"Work up some courage."
Mammon complains that there's a ghost in the House of Lamentation and insists on getting rid of it. The others don't see a problem if the ghost doesn't do anything serious, but since Mammon doesn't want to back down, Lucifer agrees on a search but informs Mammon that if they find nothing - as he expects - Mammon will drop the topic. So the two along with MC and Beel start searching. Mammon claims that he heard something and freaks out but denies being scared. Then Lucifer notices something too.

"It's Mammon's weakne..."
They hear a voice and Mammon jumps into MC's arms, frightened. The voice however turns to be Belphegor - he borrowed a jiangshi outfit from Leviathan, assuming that a ghost would be more keen to show itself to a similar being. Lucifer tells Mammon to stop being so scared at every shadow, but Mammon claims he was just surprised. If MC backs him up, he whispers a thanks to them.

Mammon is annoyed that everyone is making fun of him but that's when something sticks to his face and jumps over to MC. It turns out to be a konjac jelly, as Beel explains. If MC freaked out when the jelly landed on their face, he also offers MC to hold their hand if they're scared. Mammon wonders why there was even a konjac jelly and gets a response from yet another voice. The voice was Asmodeus, who just wanted to see their surprised faces. Their exchange however is interrupted by Beel who notes that there's blood in front of Levi's door.

"I wouldn't be surprised."
Asmodeus suspects that Levi might have had an accident, but Mammon suspects the ghost. Lucifer asks MC to go with him and they leave the scene unnoticed. He explains that the "blood" was just ketchup but no one bothered to look more closely. He enjoys the silence when his brothers are busy and asks MC what would they do if he and they were the last people in the world. He invites MC to his room, but they're interrupted by Mammon, running and screaming, Beel following him in silence. Reluctantly, Lucifer joins them with MC. Mammon explains, frightened, that he saw ghosts of bloodstained doctor and nurse, but Beel points out it was just Satan and Levi, dressed up to scare him. Mammon pretends to have known that but still asks why Beel ran if he knew. Beel, however, followed simply because Mammon took off. Lucifer is not amused.
